Workshop safety training is essential to ensure that best practices are followed and workers and visitors remain safe.
As workshops tend to be very different from each other, each with different hazards, this course focusses on general safety awareness, safe working habits and safe operating procedures.
This course provides a health and safety overview for anyone working in a workshop.
Course Duration
Standard course: Half day (approx. 3.5 hours)
Train the Trainer course: Full day (approx. 8 hours)

- Hazards that may be found in a workshop, such as dangerous equipment and hazardous substances
- Dynamic risk assessments
- Ensuring a safe working environment
- Machine guarding
- Machine fixturing
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Potential Hazards i.e. entanglement
- Pre-operational checks
- Fire prevention awareness
